High End Clothing Design
Developing a design collection based on trend research

Scope:
Trend Research & High End Clothing Design

2015
WHY (CONTEXT)
A self-sponsored/classroom project which started with trend research through different events happening globally related to fields as wide as Society, Science/Technology, Environment, Politics, New Innovations, Arts/Craft Movements, Social Trends etc to assess the influences shaping human behaviour and cultural direction.
WHAT (SOLUTION)
This direction was translated into a high-end clothing collection where contrasting materials, silhouettes, and cultural references were brought together into a cohesive seasonal range - from initial trend boards and concept development through to final garment design.
HOW (PROCESS)
The research converged on a central tension: a world increasingly defined by digital individualism, yet quietly yearning for nature, heritage, and authenticity. The concept explored the coexistence of opposites - past and future, digital and organic, global awareness and personal identity - captured through the idea of A-temporality: a sensibility that carries traces of the past while existing firmly in the present.
