Wildcraft is an Indian outdoorwear company. At the time of this project, the brand was already getting known for it's accessories - especially bags and tents. There was a small range of clothing for outdoors (hiking, trekking etc). The company intended to further grow it's market from only outdoors to finding a use-case closer to cities. They had tested the market with a small/capsule collection of travel clothing, which had promising results.
The brief was "To create a range of Multi-utility Travel Wear' for SS17, for the increasing number city traveller. A range that incorporates design interventions to make traveling experience seamless for frequent travellers in urban scenario."
This project comes in that context, where through research, behavioural pattterns, identifying issues, and suitable market placement in terms for price points, this range of travel utility clothing was designed considering the flight travellers - a growing market during the time of the project.
Based on user research insights (explained below in process), a range of clothing was designed which caters to the need of the travelers in the selected context.
The project began with identifying right mode of travel, peoples existing travel behaviours as well as issues, to come up with key concern areas to focus for this project.
